Among those arguments, the question of whether gay couple should have the right to adopt or not has been putted forward. However, the answer to this is obviously clear–gay couples should be allowed to adopt children. It is not just because sexual preference is not relating to the parenting skills, there are also lots of kids need to be a family. Besides these, gay couple seems more comparable to adopt a child.First of all, the sexual preference is not relating to the parenting skills. Second, there are a lot more kids than you think, who need family.  One research shows, in the United States, it is estimated that there are about 100,000 kids need to be adopted. (Overview) The current statistic of gay families shows ,of the 594,000 same-sex couple households in the United States, 115,000 have adopted children. Gay parents are actually the main force of adopting children. (LGBT Adoption Statistics) Last but not least important, gay couples are more comparable to adopt children. Same-sex couples usually have more time and energy into preparing having an adopted child. Unlike straight parents who usually prefer having biological children, gay couples are more likely well-considered of having children, comparing to About 37 percent of births in the United States are the result of unintended pregnancies. (Gann)At the same time, gay is not something that can spread from one person to others. A research ,mainly focused on the three separate parts of sexual identity — gender identity, gender role, and sexual preference,  does not evidence any differences between children of gay parents and children of straight parents. (Delong) There is no evidence showing that gay couples can not be good parents. And in fact, the majority of gay couple have stable relationships which is important for children growth as well as children of them are more tolerant of diversity. Gay couples should be allowed to adopt children.
