categorized in main modules on the basis of medium used to generate laser.
Depending upon the medium the range and wavelength also vary.

Main categories of laser are:

1.      GAS  laser

It is further divided into sub
categories that are:

Helium neon laser:

Dye laser have broadly used in
medical to remove birthmarks. Also use in categorized isotopes of atoms, in
medicines and spectroscopy.

4.      Solid
state laser

Ruby laser:

tattoo removal and holography.
